RCAS Staff Development

Welcome to Rapid City Area Schools Staff Development

A goal of the Rapid City Area Schools is to create a culture of inquire, where professional learning is expected, sought after, and is an ongoing part of teaching and learning.

We offer classes three times a year;  Summer, Fall and Winter sessions.

Classes are open to everyone.  You do not need to be an employee of Rapid City Area Schools to take any of these classes.

Classes are offered in a variety of categories:

  • General Knowledge
  • Classroom Management
  • Science
  • Math Literacy
  • Technology

Classes offered are available for various types of credit:

  • Undergraduate
  • Graduate
  • CEU’s
  • Audit (No particular reason)

Credits can apply towards teacher recertification

A fee is charged for each of the classes based upon the type of credit desired.  The fee is included in the class description.
